Hyper Tough 10 oz Stubby Claw Hammer TH20301Z
$ 1.84
I purchased four of these for tool kits I put together for Operation Christmas Child boxes for the 10-to 14-year-old boys. The hammer is heavy and very well made and will fit in a teenager or adult hand very well. While shopping for tools, It was very difficult to find shorter, less expensive hammers to fit in a 6-quart plastic shoebox, but this hammer fits perfectly, and even though I included other tools as well, I still had plenty of room to put in school and hygiene supplies and toys. If you also plan to put together multiple OCC boxes, I recommend the following purchases from WalMart: 12- or 24-pack of microfiber cloths from the auto department (cheaper and better than washcloths) – mine this year were blue, but I just located a Viking 24-pack for less money; mesh bag full of tennis balls; the value packs of bar soap and toothbrushes; recorders (flutes) for under $3; large boxes of pink erasers and pens, and $5 Barbies. If you allow yourself enough time, you can purchase Barbie clothes from Hong Kong through eBay for far less than you would pay in the store. I also found the small LED flashlights in the 12 pack and value pack of 36 batteries helpful. You can get 6-quart plastic shoeboxes (better quality than the dollar store) at your local WalMart store or online. Next year, I plan to purchase through WalMart.com a box of steel whistles and a 12-pack of lanyards. For more gift ideas, such as jump ropes and paddleball toys, go to Oriental Trading.
